IS TELE-HEALTH AVAILABLE IF I CANNOT ATTEND MY APPOINTMENT?

Yes. A secure link can be sent to you via email if you are unable to attend.
Fees for tele-health are the same as sessions in the office. Please give 24 hours’ notice to change your existing appointment to tele-health by calling 0492 817 706.

HOW OFTEN WILL I NEED TO COME TO APPOINTMENTS?

WHEN WILL SOMEONE RETURN MY CALL TO ARRANGE AN APPOINTMENT?

We aim to be in contact with you within 24 hours of your initial call or email. We will then aim to set up an initial appointment within a two week time frame. Ongoing appointments are then scheduled at the first appointment, depending on availability.
You do not need a referral to make an appointment, however, if your GP refers you for treatment through the Medicare Better Access Scheme you can receive a Medicare rebate up to 10 sessions per calendar year.

Fifty minute appointments are $215 (Registered Psychologist) and $275 (Clinical Psychologist) Initial ninety minute appointments are $315 (Registered Psychologist) and $375 (Clinical Psychologist).

Please contact the practice for fees for comprehensive assessment.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I MUST CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?

Please give 48 hours notice to cancel an appointment otherwise the full fee will be charged. Tele-health is an option if you cannot come to the office. Please note that Medicare and health funds do not give rebates for cancelled appointments.

CAN I CLAIM ON MEDICARE AND ON MY PRIVATE HEALTH FUND?

You can talk to your GP about a Mental Health Care Plan, which means that you are eligible for a Medicare rebate on an initial six treatment sessions. After six sessions, your GP will review treatment with you, and you may be eligible for a further four sessions in the calendar year. Under current COVID conditions a further 10 sessions may also be available.
Your private health fund may also provide a rebate, however, this differs across funds so you should check with your provider.
